In February 2015, Viktoria Kaunzner, professor of violin, GSMW, KNU, held the third edition of her festival Violin Special Masterclass ® on Germany´s East Frisian Island Norderney.
The focus was on aspects such as sound studies, technique and baroque style in music by J. S. Bach.
Among the students was a violinist from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg being intensively prepared for an upcoming audition for one of Germany´s top broadcasting station symphony orchestras, training in orchestra excerpts by R. Strauss, B. Bartók, A. Bruckner and W. A. Mozart´s violin concerto No. 5. Another student, a music producer and violinist from Sandberg Productions also showcased his violin playing in his new composed song.
Additionally integrated were sound studies and the preparation for a rosin set test based on different types of rosin with supplements such as lapis lazuli, gold, crystal or tourmaline by Liebenzeller Metall – Kolophonium.
The topic of how to live a healthy life (e.g. integrating jogging, autogenic training, having long walks, the daily need of sunshine and fresh air as well as conscious behavior towards the daily diffusion through the media) were shown. The cherry on the top of the side programme was cooking together based on health programmes by Attila Hildmann and Dana Choi (De Food Lab), whose vegan cooking class was visited by Prof. Kaunzner and violin student Haram Park in Seoul during the 2014 Korea Yoga Festa.
The 2015 February Norderney Violin Special Masterclass ® concluded with a final concert.
