Dear friends –
I am very excited to introduce you to my debut CD album „Ja(zz)smine Rice – Violin Mysteries“ (Solo Musica Label, Munich) – internationally released in spring 2015.
It bridges baroque, modern & improvised music between Europe, Asia, America & Africa & features pieces like J.S. Bach´s „Ciaccona“, Daniel Schnyder´s „The Four Winds“ & the world premiere recording of Violeta Dinescu´s „Matrâm“ for violin solo.
My composition „Wintersonnenwende“ for violin, alto & 12 speakers is based on Japanese Haiku poetry. Krzysztof Meyer´s sublime „Misterioso“ & my works „Trois Nocturnes“ & „Jasmine Rice“ – all for violin & piano – express mystical European & Asian musical elements with flair of Jazz and Tango.
I truly enjoyed working with my friends Veit Hertenstein (viola), Dr. Roman Salyutov, Wonsun Choi & Sorin Creciun (all piano).
Moreover I was thrilled to play the ex-Midori Guarneri del Gesù violin which was generously provided for the recording process by Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, London.
The CD was already showcased in the Bavarian Broadcasting Stations Munich, Channel BR 4 Klassik, the Southwestern German Broadcasting Stations (SWR) Stuttgart & Naxos http://www.naxos.de/neuheiten,
The design is an all paper digi pak including an inspiring booklet where I wrote the texts (available in German, English & Korean).
You can order CDs at Amazon.com & at any digital platform or directly from me. CDs will then include a personalized signature (29 euros plus shipping costs, please order from muswhiteman@gmx.de ).
